Apocalyptica

Apocalyptica's story began in the mid-90'ies when some young music students (Eicca Toppinen, Paavo Lötjönen, Perttu Kivilaakso and Max Lilja) recorded an album of Metallica-covers played with four cellos.

This different view on heavy metal caught the interest of many people, also outside Finland. Today Apocalyptica is a very respected band. Numerous famous musicians have featured on their records and they have toured all over the world. One of their greatst accomplishments must be performing in the Eurovision Song Contest final in Helsinki 2007.
