In the year 1998 Paavo Pekkanen had an important dream. John Lennon himself told him to start a
band called Bloodpit. He obeyed.
Before the first successful single Out To Find You that topped
the charts immediately, Bloodpit had to travel a long and interesting journey with lots of ups
and downs, but with the loyal members Aleksi Keränen (bass), Matthau Mikojan (guitar and vocals)
and Alarik Valamo (drums), Bloodpit started to get more and more audiences and now they were already
heading to America. The first album Mental Circus was a great success and it was followed in 2007 by
their second one, Off The Hook. Everything looked good, until singer Matthau's alcohol and mental health
problems got to be too much for him and the band went their separate ways.
