This Helsinki pop-rock band has made it very well from the beginning. Their very first demos won prizes and got lots of airtime on Finnish radio stations. The first official single from early 2006, named 1989, only added to the hype.

The band's music is trendy, danceable guitar pop and the band itself always looks impeccably groomed. But when you listen to the music carefully, you'll notice brightboy isn't just another trendy band. The lyrics are filled with sometimes even quite inappropriately ironic and dark comments, which make listening to the music interesting. The band are: Antti Westman (vocals, guitar), Ville Moilanen (guitar), Henri Bertel Lidsle (bass), Eero Alasuutari (drums) and Sami Suova (keyboards).
