Many artists become legends after their death. Their records sell millions of copies and they are valued and treasured. Matsumoto Hideto was a legend already while he lived. The stylish and original guitarist joined X Japan and had thousands of followers and copiers. In addition to being the loved guitarist of Japan's biggest rock band, hide also had a solo career and two different bands on the side, Spread Beaver and Zilch. As if this wasn't enough, he had his own record label, played almost all the instruments himself and was a producer.

Despite all this, hide was found dead in his room in 1998 and it looked like suicide. Thousands of fans mourned and all his band mates were in shock. Anyway, they decided to finish hide's life projects. Tours were played and albums released just the way he had planned them. This was the way people who loved hide wanted to thanks him for his life's work.
