Janne da Arc

The story of yasu (vocals), you (guitar), ka-yu (bass), kiyo (keyboards) and shuji (drums) is a long an interesting one. The band started in 1989 and took the name Janne da Arc in 1991. The first years of their career weren't very successful, actually their first oneman gig wasn't until 1998. Bored of being the less popular band, someone got the idea to change into Visual Kei. Suddenly they started getting fans, their records hit the charts and a major record company offered them deal. And all with just changing clothes! Janne da Arc was finally a success.

In a while, the band started to leave the Visual Kei style behind, but they continued to make the kind of music they always had. The fans stayed.
